The Rundown #30 | Wakanda Forever Predictions, Black Adam & Andor Reviews
‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Tracking for Massive $175 Million Opening.
FROM VARIETY: Early tracking, released by NRG, has the superhero sequel debuting to $175 million, but many rival studio executives believe that figure could grow after reviews hit and word-of-mouth builds. Disney and Marvel still haven’t released the bulk of their marketing materials, which could also goose ticket sales. If that figure is accurate, it will be the second biggest debut of 2022, just below the $187.4 million logged by “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” The original “Black Panther” opened to $202 million in 2018, ultimately grossing $700.4 million domestically and $1.3 billion globally. What do you think about the predictions?
ANDOR RATINGS AND EPISODE 7 BREAKDOWN:
Star Wars ‘Andor’ Ratings In The Gutter: Worse Than ‘Boba Fett’. An audience trending chart reveals that 'Andor' is at the bottom, the way bottom. According to new analytics data, the ratings for the Star Wars series, Andor, on Disney Plus look to be in the gutter and are much worse than that of The Book of Boba Fett. While Disney never releases specific numbers (which should tell you everything) and Samba TV has even stopped reporting data (for some reason) since it last reported numbers for Amazon’s Rings of Power, Parrot Analytics has released a chart of audience demand where Andor is at the very bottom. What are your thoughts on this news about Andor ratings and what did you think of the latest episode?
