Rise, Fall, & Reboot of DCEU to DC Studios - Rundown

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

From The John Campea Show: Since James Gunn & Peter Safran have been made the heads of DC Studios for Warner Brothers. The reception from the fan & fair weather fans have been exactly how you’d expect it. Great as long as things were to their liking and a disaster whenever the leaders made a slight decision that anyone slightly disagreed with. Before we run down the timeline what have been everyone over thoughts on Warner Bros & DC?

From Deadline: Universal Studios is in trouble suddenly, at least when it comes to Ana de Armas’ absence from the 2019 Danny Boyle-directed flick Yesterday. As some may recall last, viewers sued the studio because they went to see the film with the thought that the young actress was in it to find out after viewing that she is not with the Judge saying the following, “Universal is correct that trailers involve some creativity and editorial discretion, but this creativity does not outweigh the commercial nature of a trailer,” wrote U.S. District Judge Steven Wilson in a December 20 ruling on the studio’s mainly failed motion to dismiss a potential class action first filed back in January by Paul Michael Rosza and Conor Woulfe. “At its core, a trailer is an advertisement designed to sell a movie by providing consumers with a preview of the movie,” the federal judge went on to say in the ruling. The problem was not that she was in the trailer and the scene was later cut from the film. The plaintiffs argued that to this day she’s still in advertisements. What do you think of the idea that studios can be sued for false advertisements?
