LIL Nas X Tweets - Russell Crowe In Thor - Godzilla vs Kong Ep. 183
1. From Variety: When “Godzilla vs. Kong” debuts in the U.S. on Wednesday, it will play in more theaters than “Tenet,” “Wonder Woman 1984” or any other pandemic-era release. The epic monster mashup, from Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment, is screening in more than 3,000 North American locations. That surpasses the benchmark previously held by Christopher Nolan’s time-bending sci-fi thriller “Tenet,” having played in 2,810 locations. On average, new releases like “Tom and Jerry,” Disney’s “Raya and the Last Dragon” and Bob Odenkirk’s “Nobody” have been made available in approximately 1,500 to 2,500 locations. Directed by Adam Wingard, “Godzilla vs. Kong” arrives in the U.S. after a massive start overseas.
2. From The Hollywood Reporter: Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe is down under to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder. Crowe is expected to play a small role in Taika Waititi's film. The actor's involvement was first suspected when photos surfaced over the weekend of him in Australia with the cast of the Marvel Studios film. Marvel could not be reached for comment.
3. From All Over Twitter: Nike is suing the art collective behind the Lil Nas X "Satan Shoes" that has sparked a social media backlash. In a lawsuit filed Monday, Nike accuses MSCHF Product Studio, Inc. of trademark infringement over the designer's 666 pairs of modified Nike sneakers made in collaboration with the "Old Town Road" singer. All 666 pairs sold out Monday. Lil Nas X isn't named as a party in the lawsuit. People like Governor Kristi Noem took to Twitter to say “What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? -Matthew 16:26”. Having Lil Nas X respond with “ur a whole governor and u on here tweeting about some damn shoes. do ur job!”. Also, there were people who were offended that the rapper performed in front of children for years to promote Old Town Road having him respond with "i literally sing about lean & adultery in old town road. u decided to let your child listen. blame yourself."
